2nd?Lieutenant Charles Francis John Bell Born?was born on the 5/2/1894 at Islington, London. The 1911 census records him as living in London and occupation 'Scholar'.
At some stage he enlisted into the Northumberland Fusiliers with the service number 50660. He was commissioned into the Indian Army Reserve of Officers on the 29/10/1918, however prior to that he qualified for the British War and Victory Medals. The pension record card gives the his rank as Corporal.
He qualified for the GSM with clasp Kurdistan as a 2nd?Lieutenant with the Indian Army.
The 1939 census records him living at Bungalow Farm, Slinton, Newborough working as a school master. He died on the 2/2/1916 in London.
