Offered for sale is a very good example of an close hand to hand combat, Imperial German WW1 trench knife & scabbard by Gottlieb Hammesfahr of Solingen Foche. Features riveted dark wooden grips with 9 diagonal stripes. Double edged, period sharpened, 15.5cm long blade, surface maker and Imperial acceptance stamped. Metal scabbard has 80% of original black paint and carries a leather belt hanger with locking strap.

An excellent example for any collector of militaria or knives, measures 28.8cm and 29cm in scabbard.
