The medal group includes the Royal Victorian Medal G.V., silver, unnamed as issued; 1939-45 Star, The Atlantic Star, with ‘France & Germany’ bar, The Italy Star, 1939-45 War Medal, 1937 & 1953 Coronations, Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R., 1st issue, impressed named to J.111543 L. CLARKE, P.O. H.M.S. PEMBROKE. & Special Constabulary Long Service Medal, EIIR, impressed named to LESLIE CLARKE. Court mounted for wear.

Leslie Clarke was awarded the Royal Victorian Medal in silver for forming part of the gun carriage team at the funeral of His Majesty King George V, 28 January 1936, whilst serving as a Leading Seaman at the Royal Naval Gunnery School, Chatham. He was awarded his Naval Long Service Medal on the 21st of November 1940 and obviously saw extensive service during WW2.
