Large Rare Albino White Kangaroo Fur Hide Australian Taxidermy Leather Skin

Offered is a rare snowy white Albino Kangaroo hide from Western Australia, Albany region. 

Features pale creamy white fur with good coverage to skin .Tanning pin holes to hide edge mark this as 1970s or earlier. Measures a very large 225cm (7ft 4″) from nose to tail by 115cm ( 3ft 8″), extremely rare to find a albino kangaroo hide of this size due to the early demise of albinos in the wild with their poor eyesight and lack of camouflage. This kangaroo was shot in the late 1800’s and the skin was hung in the Old Albany Gaol up until the 1970’s, with the skin then being removed to museum storage, before we acquired this in 2015.
