William McKinnon enlisted 20/9/1915 in Greta, N.S.W. and was allotted to the 31st Battalion, 3rd Reinforcements. Reported wounded (GSW left forearm) 19/7/1916 in France. AWOL on a few occassions, copping FP #2 etc. RTA 10/1/1918 having suffered from ‘trench fever’, discharged 7/4/1918.
