For sale is a set of British War and Victory Medals (1914 – 18), impressed named 201230 PTE A.J. TRUSSON. E. SURR. R.

They come with copies of the medal index card and the medal roll

Alexander John Trusson was born on 12/4/1898 in Lambeth, Surrey, England.

He served with the 5th Battalion East Surrey Regiment in Mesopotamia during the war.

The 5th was a pre war Teritorial Battalion which was deployed to India at the start of the war and in December 1917 was deployed to Mesopotamia. It was attached to 55th Brigade, 18th Indian Division.

He survived the war to die on 26/5/1984 in Epsom, Surrey.
