MINT WW1 SANDERSON BRITISH 303 RIFLE 1907 BAYONET SCABBARD SWORD ARMY 1917 DATED

Description

Offered is an original and near mint condition 1917 dated Sanderson made First World War 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard.

Bayonet & scabbard features blued steel fittings, with pommel & working release button, lightly used condition wooden grips and metal guard. The 43 cm long steel blade shows the ?blood groove? to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped for Sanderson (Sanderson Bros & Newbould Ltd), being dated November, 1917. The blades factory sharpened, retaining majority of the original blued protective finish to surface. Standard leather & metal WW2 scabbard, with round metal frog button, with very good condition leather body. Overall length: 58cm long. A near mint example of a WW1 bayonet, as used with the classic Short Magazine Lee?Enfield No. 1 Mk. III service rifle.
