WW2 set of Australian Navy campaign stars & medals to 21946 Chief Petty Officer Davies. Includes 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, Africa Star with rosette to ribbon, Pacific Star, War & Australian Service Medal 1939-45, all impressed named to 21946 C. DAVIES. Swing mounted as worn.

Chief Petty Officer Steward Charlie Davies was born in Tambellup, W.A. 4/11/1916. He enlisted in Northam, W.A. for 12 years service in the R.A.N. 7/4/1938. He served as a Steward during his career, serving on the Canberra, Penguin, Perth 19/5/1939 – 17/4/1941, Australia 21/12/1941 – 8/2/1944 (see previous lot for the service of H.M.S. Australia during WW2), H.M.S. Shropshire & finished the war in Geraldton, W.A. (Kuttabul). Served Leeuwin from 1947, discharging 6/4/1950.
