NAZI GERMANY 25 YEAR SERVICE CROSS MEDAL
41 mm wide die struck alloy decoration with nickel-silver plated highlights, a frosted white finish and a black enamel swastika. The decoration is in the form of a โcross Pattรฉ,โ with a circular oak-leaf wreath extending between the arms of the cross. The centre of the cross has a square plate with a black enameled static swastika to the obverse, and the embossed Gothic script, โFรผr treue Diensteโ (For Loyal Service), to the reverse. The arms of the cross have a slightly textured background field with a smooth, dual stepped, raised outer edge. Fed onto the ribbon suspension ring, which passes through the loop to the top of the award, is its original ribbed rayon cornflower blue ribbon with a brass pin mounted for wear. The Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen fรผr Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter) was founded on 30 January 1938 in two classes and one class to reward civilians in the employ of the public services, and in exceptional cases private concerns, for long and faithful service. All officials, employees, and laborers at any level of the public service (local, regional or national) who completed 25 or more years service were eligible for The Civil Service Faithful Service Medal [โฆ]
