**SOLD** Offered for sale is a very rare and sought after tinnie commemorating 10 years since the death of Albert Leo Schlageter. Tinnie measures 50mm x 30mm with pin to rear, tinnie is in very good condition with only a light scratch to the front of the cross, apart from that the tinnie is in very good condition. It was during 1923 when Albert Leo Schlageter became famous. This year was famous in Germany because the Hyperinflation, which helped to “not” meet the repayments that Germany had to make to France, in concepts of reparations for WWI. France, claiming what it was believed to be theirs, took a strong action against the Germans, occupying the Ruhr area West of Germany. Schlageter was part of the “passive resistance” against the French Forces with act of sabotage. Until he was arrested and condemned to death. He was executed near Düsseldorf on the 26th of May 1923.
