Features a nickel bird’s head pommel, with cog wheel ‘eye’, elastoline white screwed in grips, with outstretched winged eagle guard, with TENO cog wheel emblem. The 25cm long bowie type blade is maker marked for Carl Eickhorn of Solingen, as well as TENO quality control marked (eagle trademark), numbered on the underside of eagle guard 5836. The blade is in near mint condition, with one small chip to blade spear point. The nickel scabbard is matching numbered 5836 to top of the throat, with belt loop clip to rear of the nickel chape. The original black enamel shows light age crazing but retains most of the original black enamel. No dents on the lower nickel to lower mount.

This TeNo Enlisted Hewer is in very respectable condition throughout. The nickelling throughout the hilt is intact to the cross guard and ferrule area, with some plate lifting and wear. The pommel has and spine showing minor flecks of original plating, mostly showing the original metal work. Apart from these minor flaws, this a very good, matching numbered Eickhorn piece which would suit well in any dagger collection. These daggers are hardly ever seen for sale here in Australia, with this and many of our other rare daggers from a local collection of some 40 years.
