NAZI SS M1933 CEREMONIAL 2ND PATTERN DAGGER & SCABBARD

Model 1933 2nd pattern SS Dagger. The dagger is dated 1939 and made by an unidentified manufacturer. this SS dagger has nickel silver fittings showing very minor surface wear & age to faux ebony grip. Nickel eagle and SS runes are properly inset and show only very light age & wear. Blade shows minor runner marks with no chips, cuts, pitting or damage. Crisp, SS motto shows deep quality engraving which sets this aside from many other rubbed or heavily cleaned pieces. Scabbard shows minor wear with shell retaining 90% of its period enamel finish. Upper and lower scabbard fittings show light scuff marks with no damage to the ball. Retains the original black leather hanger and RZM marked clip & hanger (SS 39/38 & 68/38). Wittmann shows on page 173 of his textbook Exploring the dress daggers & swords of the SS (2003) an exact example of this maker's dagger with hangers. An exceptionally good example of the rare 2nd pattern SS dagger.
