Description

For sale is a General Service Medal (G.VI.R.) with clasp PALESTINE named ASST SUPT G.A. BROADHEAD. PAL, POLICE. It comes with copies of medal rolls, newspaper article and 1939 census.

Assistant Superintendent Geoffrey Albert Broadhead was born in Nottingham, England in 1910.

He served with the BSAP in Rhodesia about 1928 – 1934, he then joined the Palestine Police Force serving with them from 1934 – 1947. On the end of the Palestine Mandate in 1948, he took his years leave in England before emigrating to Kenya in 1949 and it is believed he continued in the Police service.

He is also entitled to the clasp Palestine 1945 – 48.
