1930s WW2 GERMAN NAVY OFFICERS ETCHED SWORD WITH SCABBARD & NAVAL KNOT BY HORSTER OF SOLINGEN

Offered is a scarce 1930s production 3rd Reich era German Naval Officers Sword with Scabbard.

Features an ornate gilded brass guard, with floral designs & central fouled anchor. Lions head pommel & etched lions mane back strap is superb, folding guard and lock move solidly with folding lock stamped 24.The brass wire bound ivorine grip is in very fine condition. 74 cm long, curved, piped backed blade shows is excellent in surface and unsharpened condition, E F Horsten of Solingen maker stamped. The leather scabbard has both brass lockets, with suspension rings and lower brass drag, leather is excellent. Sword locks firmly onto the upper scabbard. Sword overall length 88cm, in scabbard 90cm.
