POST WW1 KINGDOM OF HUNGARY SIGNUM LAUDIS MEDAL WITH HOLY CROWN

Description

Hungary, Kingdom. A Signum Laudis Medal with the Holy Crown of Hungary 1922.

Gilt finished, unmarked, 45mm high, inclusive of its seperate crown suspension, on its original triangular military ribbon with hook and eye, extremely fine.

The Medal was established in June 1923 and was identical for military and civilians, the awards to civilians on a plain green ribbon, awards to the military on a green ribbon with white and red edge stripes, with awards for life saving on a ribbon with alternating red and white stripes. The medal was suppressed on February 14, 1945.
