Description

Offered is an original Russian AK-47 bayonet & scabbard.

Early type bayonet, featuring wooden grips, curved metal pommel, number stamped 5281, with metal muzzle ring attachment guard. 20cm long with metal blade, showing field sharpening marks to edge, very good overall, which fits nicely into the darkened metal scabbard, which retains the canvas frog and leather fastening straps. Overall length 32.5cm. Service wear and some age to this piece, but good condition overall.

This bayonet is from the Rhodesian army collection we are currently selling, so as with many of the other captured pieces in there, I would be certain this is one of those ‘souvenired’ combat pieces.
