POST WW2 ERA GHURKHA BRITISH PRESENTATION KUKRI & SCABBARD

Description

Post Second World War era Ghurkha ‘presentation’ Kukri & Scabbard. Carved wooden grip, with steel fittings. Very good condition 25cm long curved blade, showing light wear and storage age. Elaborate velvet and silver worked scabbard shows patina to metal fittings and loss of pile to front, with majority remaining to rear. Shield clip to scabbard engraved ‘From T. Srai’. Most likely dates from the Borneo conflict of the 1950’s. Very nice piece.
