Offered is a rare 1960’s era US Marine Corps Non-Commissioned Officer’s sword. The sword features 24 carat gold plated, hand polished pierced filigree guard, quarter palm urn pommel, with oval top, ribbed brown leather grip, showing only minor wear, with all original gilt wire wrap. The underside of the half basket hilt/guard is stamped 30, with matching number to the upper scabbard locket. Offered is a rare 1960's era US Marine Corps Non-Commissioned Officer's sword.

The sword features 24 carat gold plated, hand polished pierced filigree guard, quarter palm urn pommel, with oval top, ribbed brown leather grip, showing only minor wear, with all original gilt wire wrap. The underside of the half basket hilt/guard is stamped 30, with matching number to the upper scabbard locket.

The 76cm long, single-edged blade with a wide central fuller and short false edge, with both sides retaining the acid etched design, showing 'US Marine Corps' motto, with the usual flag, USMC EGA and foliage. The blade is immaculate, with the reverse ricasso showing Gemsco Germany Stainless.

The scabbard is also in excellent condition with an all gilt finish to locket & chape and all brown leather covered brass body. Retains the frog clip and displays only minor service wear and patina.

Overall length: 94cm. An excellent example.
