Offered is an original French Military Medal for Operations in the Middle East.

Features a 30mm wide circular gilt medal on laterally-pierced loop and suspension bar with two olive palms supporting a crescent; the face with a female head facing left wearing a helmet with oak wreath and representing the French Republic, inscribed ‘REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE’, signed ‘GEORGES LEMAIRE’; the reverse with the inscription ‘MÉDAILLE COMMEMORATIVE DES OPÉRATIONS AU MOYEN-ORIENT 1956’; with small oxidisation age spot to reverse; on original ribbon with ‘MOYEN ORIENT’ bar.
