For sale is a set of medals relating to Calvin Henry Akehurst, who served during WW2 with the Buffs and was taken prisoner in 1941 in North Africa and interned in Italy & Germany. Postwar he emigrated to Australia and served three tours of Korea, serving with the 1st & 3rd Battalions of the Royal Australian Regiment.

Court mounted for display medal set comprising of: 1939 – 45 Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939 – 45 all hand engraved named 6012391 AKEHURST. C. 1ST BN. BUFFS; Korea Medal, United Nations Medal with bar KOREA, both impressed named 3/10722 C. H. AKEHURST;  and come with copies of service records, showing all Australian service until discharge in 1960.
