C. 1750’s British Army soldier’s short sword. Urn shaped brass pommel, with D shaped hilt, with clam shell guard, being engraved to underside L=A No. 50=, with one piece twist grip, with indentation & removed 2.5cm long thin section 59cm long, slightly curved steel blade has remains of mid -18th century style hand engraved details, with numbers 175 to both sides. Rounded blade tip, with usual wear, generally good overall.
