Description

For sale is a genuine British Army socket bayonet & scabbard for use with the Pattern 1853 Enfield Rifle-Musket.

The bayonet features a good blued socket, with working lock, with good condition 44cm long blade, War Department arrow stamped, with service stampings etc. Blade slides in and out of the brown leather scabbard with no issues, retaining 1887 date & 3876 number stamp. The scabbard retains the buff leather belt tab, which is stamped ‘M’ The scabbard and bayonet are original made/issued set and measure 56cm long.
