British Pattern 1895 Martini-Enfield Socket Bayonet

Offered for sale is a good example of a classic British bayonet, used during the latter part of the 19th and into the early 20th century. This was used on the Martini-Enfield .303 Rifle.

This British Pattern 1895 Socket Bayonet is complete with its scabbard and shows a production date of March 1900.

The blade has some staining, but is straight, with its tip intact. The scabbard’s brass fittings are intact although as is common, it has split at the stitching.

The bayonet has an overall length of 64cm, with a 55cm long blade.
