Offered is a Queen’s South Africa Medal, with 2 clasps, CAPE COLONY & SOUTH AFRICA 1901. Impressed named 16759 PTE H. BLACK. A.S.C.. Comes with copies M.I.C., medal rolls, pension cards. Corporal Harry Black served in the Boer War with “B” (Supply Coy) Army Service Corps, he remained in the Army and landed in France 13/8/1914 with the ‘No 6’ Field Bakery which spent the war at Rouen. They were also part of the Army of Occupation Rhine 1919. He was still serving until 4/1/1923 when he discharged as a Corporal with his address being in Dublin. Corporal Black died...
