Offered is a 1930’s US Army officer’s peaked cap, sized 6 7/8. Dark blue wool hat body with ribbed mohair hat band, rayon lined inside, wicker frame, black double leather visor, with chin strap prong attached to gilt side buttons. Stiffened wire frame peak, with good shape overall. Sweat band is present, but showing little use overall. Marked inside cap, ‘Alex Maine Tailor, Seattle’. Large early style Army officer’s acid free gilded cap eagle. Generally very good shape overall, as one would expect from a privately made parade cap.
