RARE JAC 1916 WW1 AUSTRALIAN BRITISH BAYONET 303 RIFLE TURKISH CAPTURED

Offered is an original and rare manufacturer 1916 dated John Chapman made First World War era 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard and Turkish re-issue marks. Features steel fittings, with pommel & working release button, lightly used, beautifully preserved wooden grips. The pommel has been “Turked”, captured and reissued with WW1 Turkish Ottoman serial numbers (the British contacts from the 1930s were all shortened and A.S.F.A. stamped). 43cm long sharpened steel blade shows crisp JAC stamps with 1916 dating and surface has excellent finish.
