RARE SOUTHERN RHODESIA POST WW2 BRITISH QUEEN’S MEDAL FOR CHIEFS SERVICE MEDAL

Offered is an original 1950’s era Queen’s Medal for Native Chief’s of Southern Rhodesia.

45mm high brass, die stamped medal, the obverse with the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II & crown to top centre, the reverse with the coat of arms and SOUTHERN RHODESIA. The obverse heavily polished, with the repeatedly repaired medal ribbon being mounted as worn, most likely by a very, very loyal chief of the region who proudly wore this medal.
