RARE WW1 CHAPMAN BRITISH 303 RIFLE 1907 BAYONET SCABBARD SWORD ARMY 1918 DATED JAC

Offered is an original 1918 dated Chapman made First World War 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard. Bayonet & scabbard features steel fittings, with pommel & working release button, lightly used condition wooden grips and metal guard. The 43 cm long steel blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped for Chapman (J A Chapman, Sheffield), being dated March, 1918. The blades factory sharpened but dull edged with a very good bright finish to surface. Standard leather & metal WW1 scabbard, with tear drop metal frog button, with very good condition leather body....
