RARE WW1 GERMAN ARMY S98 JAEGER PARADE BAYONET, SCABBARD & FROG BY E PACK & SOHN

Offered is an WW1 Imperial dk 98 "Dress" GS98 pattern bayonet with scabbard & chequered grips by E Pack & Sohne of Solingen.

Bayonet features nickle guard and birds-head pommel with working release button, Jaeger green felt insert to the mortise, black composite hatched grips secured with steel screw pins. The 24.2cm long nickel plated steel is maker stamped with manufacturer sledgehammer wielder logo. The blade is non sharpened, with a  fine finish to surface with only normal scabbard withdrawal marks. Rolled steel scabbard is undented with majority of black dress paint to body. Completed with patent leather frog and excellent army frog hanger. Overall length: 36.5cm, in scabbard 40.4cm.

A good used example of a WW1 Imperial German army dress bayonet, as used with the classic Gewher 98 service rifle for parade purposes or worn as part of your dress uniform when on leave.
