*RARE WW1 WW2 GERMAN AUSTRIAN FIREMAN’S PARADE AXE PRESENTATION ASPERSDORF

Offered is a scarce & original WW1 era Imperial Austrian fire department ceremonial parade axe with presentation panels.

Features a unsharpened steel, 170mm/94mm/6mm wide axe head, 95mm side guards with ring hanger mounts, ball pommel base & nickel presentation panels mounted on a 32cm black wooden shaft. All steel mounts are solid with remnants of the original nickel plate. Dedication plates to both side read "Dedicated from the members of the voluntary fire brigade Asperdorf "/ "For our honoured Captain Schuster Johann". Overall length: 44 cm. The nickel plating on the panels and head show wear and age, but the item is solid overall and a rare piece of Germanic fire fighting memorabilia rarely seen for sale.
