Offered is an exceptionally rare German M32 steel helmet that was used by the Czech resistance in their struggle against the nazi occupiers of Czechoslovakia during WW2.
Standard M32 civil helmet, with black enamel outer and inner finished shell, unmarked, with a good amount of wear and scratches overall. The Czech red white and small traces of the blue enamel decal, which looks to have been hand painted, remains to centre front, measuring 72mm x 86mm. All four air vents are present, as are all 4 liner slots. The mid brown leather liner assembly shows much wear and use, lots of creasing from sweating/use. The chinstrap is a standard military type strap, which has been attached to the original civil leather bosses, most likely wartime replaced from use. All 4 cork liner pads are still present.
I can only imagine the service this helmet saw, especially with the struggle by the Czech resistance groups against the nazis with Czechoslovakia during the war. I've only ever seen another of these in the military museum in Prague, so make sure you don't miss an oppurtunity to bid on this while it is still available.
Condition: As worn during WW2. A very rare piece. Ex. Barry Watt collection.
