Description

Offered is an original DK 98 “Dress” KS98 pattern bayonet with scabbard, frog & portepee knot.

Bayonet features nickel guard and birds-head pommel with working release button, black hatched composite grips secured with steel pins. The 25cm long plated steel blade is in very good condition & shows the Carl Eickhorn name and makers logo. The blade is non sharpened with a very good finish to surface. Rolled steel scabbard is undented with majority of black dress paint to body. Bayonet complete with original walking out black leather scabbard showing only light wear, with period leather and cotton portepee knot. Overall length: 42cm.

A good used example of a WW2 German army dress bayonet, as used with the classic K98 service rifle , used for parade purposes or worn as part of your dress uniform when on leave.
