US M1 Paratrooper’s Steel Helmet. The helmet retains the majority of the outside olive drab paint to the outer shell, with wear to the turned up edges from use. There is a small dent to centre top of the helmet, again from use. The inner shell shows the manufacturers number, which dates this to its manufacture in February 1944. The liner retains all of the original straps and the leather para chin cup.
