For sale is a set of South Africa Police medals comprising: Star of Merit impressed named 19735 B. Lt-Kol. L. A. H. Du Pisani. 11.9.69; Police Faithful Service Medal (1923-63) impressed named 19733 (V) H/Konst. L. A. H. Du Pisani 11.9.1957; Police Faithful Service Medal (1963-) impressed named 19735 Kol. L. A. H. Du Pisani. 11.9.72. They come with copies of Police service records and research.

Lt Colonel Louis Almero Hartzog Du Pisani was born on 12/10/1917 at Willowmore, Cape Provence.  Prior to enlisting he was a farmer when he joined the South African Police on 11/9/1939.

Over the next 30 + years he served at a variety of locations including the WW2 Internment Camp at Durban. He rose steadily through the ranks being promoted Lieutenant on 1/7/1957. On retirement he was serving as a Colonel. He was awarded the Police Medal for Faithful Service on 11/9/1972.
