Second World War Japanese Navy Officer’s Kai-Gunto Sword. Refurbished fabric wound grip, with excellent shark skin base, ‘Hands shaking’ tassel hanger and decorative Tsuba. Working scabbard retaining button. Tang shows stamps for manufacture around 1942. The 66 cm blade is faultless, with a very nice Hamon along the sword edge, which again, is faultless. The refurbished ray skin scabbard is in excellent condition. Overall length: 95cm
