VINTAGE POST WW2 POLAND CROSS OF MERIT IN SILVER IN CASE OF ISSUE

Description

Offered is an original cased Polish Merit Cross in silver.

42mm wide red enamel and silvered metal Leopold cross with ball-tipped finials, rays between the arms, with loop and laurel-decorated ring for ribbon suspension; the face with a circular central white enamel medallion bearing the letters ‘PRL’ (People’s Republic of Poland) within red enamel and silvered rings; the reverse plain; all enamel intact; on worn original ribbon. Medal is housed in its original red card case, with embossed Polsih eagle motif to top centre of lid.
