VINTAGE WW2 GERMAN ARMY MODEL 1942 SINGLE DECAL UNIFORM HELMET WITH CHIN STRAP

Offered is an original Model 1942 German Army steel helmet, with single decal, leather liner & chinstrap.

Very good steel shell, sized 62, retaining the original dark green/blue paint finish, with majority outer paint remains, with some very small scratches & wear and tear commensurate with age and use (no dents showing), showing a single decal, 85% present, to left side, meaning this must have been a very early produced model 42 helmet, as most produced during the war, did not include this signle decal, as per army orders.

No movement to the 3 split pins, with the interior showing the exact paint scheme as shown on the outside, with markings for the factory number 3469, with the factory stamp showing ckl62 (Eisenhüttenwerk Thale/Herz, sized 62). The aluminium liner band is present, with a very good conditional leather liner, showing period ink markings, size stamped 54. The liner does show some service rubbing & wear, but solid and very presentable. The helmet is completed with the original leather chinstrap, being marked RB Nr.0/0390/0204 and firmly secured to the aluminium buckles.

Overall, a very good condition helmet, in very good condition, retaining all original parts and single decal.
