The WA Police Force Service Medal was instituted on 12 February 2001 to recognise the sustained diligent and ethical service by employees of the WA Police Force A minimum of 10 years service with the WA Police Force is required to be eligible for the medal.  The clasp to the medal is awarded for each additional 5 years of diligent and ethical service.  Current employees are automatically considered for the NM.
