Offered is a First World War medal group to Gunner Joseph Huett, a Territorial Army soldier who served with the 113th Siege Battery and who was wounded in action during the war Territorial Force War Medal (1914-1919), impressed named 329 GNR.J. HUETT. R.A.; British War and Victory Medals, impressed named 348071 GNR. J. HUETT. R.A. Comes with copies M.I.C., medal rolls and pension record card. Joseph Huett was born on 25/8/1883 in Penarth, Wales. A painter by trade he was serving in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army) pre-war with the service number 329.  He volunteered for overseas service and served in France with the 113th Siege Battery. This unit was raised in Pembroke Dock and deployed to France on 12/6/1916. The siege Battery’s were armed with 6-, 8- and 9.2-inch howitzers. At some stage, Huett was wounded suffering a gunshot wound to his right leg. He survived the war and returned to work as a painter and lived in Wales until his death on 16/6/1952 at East Glamorgan.
