WW1 1892 PATTERN BRITISH INDIAN ARMY INFANTRY OFFICER SWORD SCABBARD MOLE GVR

Offered is a scarce 1911 – 1935 issued British/Indian Army officers’ sword, 1892 pattern from Robert Mole & Sons, Birmingham.

1892 pattern ornate brass hilt with a King George V (GVR) Royal cartouche and wire twist fish skin grip. Brass chequered back strap, with urn shaped pommel. The brass fittings being very good or better overall. 84cm long, retailer & star proofed etched ricasso, good deep etched unsharpened blade with Kings Crown and Coat of Arms. Lacquered brown leather service scabbard which fits well, with a slightly bent drag and measures 103cm overall.
