Description

1916 Battle of Jutland medal. White metal, 45mm in diameter by Spink & Son. “Glorious Memory of those who fell that day” with Union Jack and White Ensign. Minor marks, with age toning and wear.

Designed by the Marquis of Milford Haven and sold for the benefit of Naval Orphanages. This medal was struck immediately after the battle had been fought and before it had received its official title. Issued in gold, silver, bronze and white metal.

A nice addition to any Jutland medal group.
