WW1 AUSTRALIAN 303 RIFLE BAYONET SANDERSON SCABBARD SWORD ARMY 1918 PARADE

Description

Offered is a 1918 dated Sanderson made First World War 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard.

Bayonet & scabbard features full chromed steel fittings, with pommel & working release button, SLAZ42 stamped wooden grips and metal guard. The 43 cm long steel blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped Sanderson (Sanderson Arms Factory), dated January 1918. The blade being factory sharpened only, with light plating loss to edge from drawing in and out of scabbard. Standard leather & metal Australian Orange Arsenal marked scabbard. Overall length: 58cm long. A good display piece, as worn on parade, being a chromed example.
