Offered is a Full sized set of medals, for First World War service awarded to 1132 Private William Portch, who served with ‘D’ Company, 28th Battalion. Medals include the following awards: War Medal & Victory Medal. Both impressed named to rim 1132 PTE W. PORTCH 28 BN AIF. William Portch enlisted 24/5/1915 in Kalgoorlie, aged 22 years and was allotted to the 28th Battalion, being part of their 7th Reinforcements. Served with D Company, with numerous AWOL & disobedience charges as well as being wounded in the knee 22/5/1916 (Treux, France), being hospitalised and returned to Australia 31/8/1916 and discharged...
