WW1 BELGIAN CROSS FOR THE DEPORTED (1914-1918)
Very good example of the Belgian Cross for the Deported (1914-1918), which was instituted in 1922 for those Belgians deported to Germany for refusing to work, or who had been conscripted into forced labor. It is a plain 39mm Maltese Cross, obverse and reverse having the dates “1914” and “1918” to horizontal arms. The bronze ring attaches to 38mm maroon ribbed ribbon w/2mm tri-color chevrons pointing down of black-yellow-red, complete with double needle pin attachment. Some finish wear.
