Reginald William Stokes was born 6/4/1898 in East Peckham, Kent. He enlisted into the Royal Marine Light Infantry 21/6/1916, serving mainly in the depot at Deal & Chatham, with service on troopship S.S. Amsterdam in 1917. He received his R.F.R. L.S & G.C. Medal July 1931.
