Description

WW1 British Royal Air Force M1907, 1918 dated, Sanderson bayonet with scabbard & frog. Steel pommel with working release button, RAF stamped to both sides, good dark brown wooden grips with and muzzle ring metal guard, stamped 1A9652. A polished 43cm steel blade, in good, used condition, showing Sanderson manufacturers stamp and issued dated 11 ’18 (November 1918). Scabbard of leather and metal, being a standard British WW1 issue type, being attached to the light grey/blue canvas belt frog, with black ink RAF details to reverse. Overall length 57cm, bayonet in good condition. R.A.F. marked bayonets rarely come up for sale.
