Description

WW1 era German Kingdom of Prussia spiked helmet – Pioneer’s enlisted Pickelhaube. Leather body in very good condition, with some crazing overall, but good shape to body. Pre war quality nickel fittings, including Prussian helmet plate with leather & steel buckle chinstrap, affixed to toned brass side posts, retaining state & 80% of national cockades. Front peak retains the nickel peak trim. Correct enlisted style spike with non ventilator spine. Interior shows full leather liner and leather tabs to helmet plate affixing area. Approx. size 56, with no extra holes behind the helmet plate. A very well looked after original piece, to the scarce pioneer units. A really nice example.
