WW1 GERMAN ARMY 1889 PATTERN ARMY OFFICER’S SWORD & UNIFORM SCABBARD

Offered is a WW1 era German Army Officer’s Sword with Scabbard. The sword is an 1889 Pattern Officer’s type, with brass backstrap and doves head pommel, with wire wrapped black celluloid grip (chips to both side of top of grip) and plain langets. The straight double fullered 78cm long nickel plated steel blade is in excellent condition, with double headed WKC trademark to ricasso. The blade fits smoothly into the black enamelled service scabbard, retaining it’s floating suspension ring, showing some wear & plating loss, but generally good overall. Measures 92cm overall.
