WW1 GERMANY PRUSSIAN SPIKED HELMET PICKELHAUBE (KUGELHELM)

Good condition and original German Kingdom of Prussia First World War Artillery Pickelhaube (Kugelhelm). Leather body is sound, with some crazing to lacquered surface, both peaks are firmly attached as are the correct pattern. The front peak seems to have had shrapnel damage , showing an entry hole to centre underside front peak, obviously sustained in action. Retains black leather chinstrap with tightening buckles. Grey Prussian helmet plate is typical of the economy 1914-16 type produced. Grey spike base retains all 4 retaining studs, with ball top being the correct 'removeable' type with air vent bayonet socket. Rear grey spine is solidly attached. Interior has the leather liner, with all screws etc present and tight. Named etc. in ink to interior. Approximate size would be 57/58. Overall, a good example, showing light battle damage.
