WW1 IMPERIAL RUSSIAN COSSACK 1881 TYPE CAVALRY SWORD SCABBARD & BAYONET 1915 Offered is a scarce Imperial Russian Model 1881 Dragoon shashka sword with mosin nagant bayonet. Sword features a brass ‘D’ guard hilt marked Zlatoust Weaponry Factory, year 1914, with unit/regimental stamps and ribbed wooden handle. 82cm steel blade carries 1915 Zlatoust Imperial eagle with inspectors’ A stamps (matching to scabbard), the blade with a good edge and normal age darkening. Shellacked finished over wood scabbard showing some patches of service wear and carries 2 brass mounts, 1 fitted with a 50.5cm spike bayonet. Overall length 99cm.
